Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman is a highly accomplished and dedicated oncologist and radiotherapist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. With over a decade of experience in the field of radiation oncology, he has established himself as a leading expert in cancer treatment, research, and medical education.
Dr. Rahman completed his MBBS from Rangpur Medical College under Rajshahi University in 2005, followed by specialized postgraduate training in radiation oncology. He holds an FCPS in Radiotherapy, having successfully passed in July 2018 from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), and is currently pursuing an MD in Radiation Oncology at the National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital, under BSMMU.
His professional affiliations include memberships in prestigious organizations such as the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). He is also actively involved in medical education and research, with numerous publications to his name. His research focuses on lung cancer, breast cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, and radiotherapy techniques, contributing significantly to the global understanding of cancer treatment.
Dr. Rahman’s career has seen him work in various capacities across esteemed institutions. He currently serves as an Associate Consultant in the Oncology and Radiotherapy department at Bangladesh Specialized Hospitals Limited. He also practices at Delta Medical College and Hospitals and Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Specialty Center. Throughout his career, Dr. Rahman has been known for his compassionate approach to patient care and his dedication to staying at the forefront of advancements in oncology treatments.
