Dr. Debnarayan Dutta is the Senior Consultant & Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. He is a reputed radiation oncologist, worked in Apollo Cancer Hospital Chennai as a senior consultant before joining Amrita. He did his MBBS from National Medical College, Kolkata in the year 1999 and did MD in radiation oncology from the Nilratan Sirkar Medical College, Kolkata from 2003 to 2006. After completing his MD training, he joined Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai as neurooncologist & stereotactic radiosurgery fellow in 2006. Then he did fellowship in IMRT in head & neck radiation oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He was trained at Tata Memorial Hospital after post-graduation for almost 4 years, from 2006 till 2010. He joined Apollo Cancer Hospital Chennai in 2010 as consultant and was an integral part of CyberKnife treatment team. He was awarded the prestigious ‘MERIT’ award for  being a promising cancer researcher by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in 2008, presenter in ‘Hosino’ young investigator award at Yokohama Japan 2009, awarded ‘Neucletron Fellowship’ in 2010. He received aboard training from Antoine Lacassagne Cancer Centre, Nice and Oscar Lambart Cancer Centre, Lille, France for CyberKnife. He had a short stint at Munich CyberKnife Centre, Munich. He is one of the first few Cyberknife users in India and regarded as an expert in radiosurgery & SBRT. He received training from Varian SBRT training centre at Lisbon, Portugal in 2013 and was part of IBA proton users meeting at Paris in 2014. He is an eminent speaker in radiosurgery and neurooncology, with more than 100 national and international presentations in different academic forums. He has 40 indexed publications, 50 indexed abstracts, chapters in three books and is reviewer of few indexed journals. He is persuading his academic interest as PhD student in Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). His thesis is on molecular prognostication of head & neck cancer.

Mr Ullah trained as a surgeon in the UK from 1993 in a variety of teaching and district general hospitals until he was appointed as consultant general surgeon specialising in oncoplastic breast surgery at Whipps Cross Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust).

Mr Ullah has a keen interest in oncoplastic breast surgery and he has been trained in hospitals such as The Royal Marsden Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital & The Royal Free Hospital. This training has enabled him to gain extensive experience in both benign and malignant breast conditions, as well as inspiring him to introduce the one-stop breast clinic at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Dr Nick Zdenkowski is a Medical Oncologist and Clinical Research Fellow at the Calvary Mater Newcastle, a tertiary referral cancer hospital in NSW, Australia, affiliated with the University of Newcastle. He also consults at The Breast and Endocrine Centre, a breast cancer multidisciplinary clinic within the Hunter Cancer Centre. He holds a Conjoint Lecturer appointment with the University of Newcastle and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle before undertaking physician training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. His Medical Oncology training was at the Calvary Mater Newcastle, during which time he also completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Care. He developed expertise in breast cancer clinical trials during a Fellowship with the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZBCTG), and completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology. He is a member of the ANZBCTG Scientific Advisory Committee, the Hunter Cancer Research Alliance Implementation Steering Committee and the PALLAS Study international Steering Committee. He is a principal investigator on several international and national clinical trials including PALLAS, LATER, IBIS 1 & 2, BIG 1-98, and TailorX. He has also led multiple investigator initiated trials in breast, pancreatic and colorectal cancer.

His subspecialty interest is in management of patients with breast cancer, particularly shared decision-making and neoadjuvant systemic therapy. He is now in the final phase of a PhD investigating the role of a decision aid to support shared decision-making for women considering neoadjuvant systemic therapy for operable breast cancer. He would like to see clinical research embedded in routine practice, for greater opportunities for patients and the research community in efficiently generating results that improve the outcomes for patients with cancer.

Dr. Neha Choudhary is a certified breast surgeon trained at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and working exclusively in the field of breast surgery.  Specialist in the surgical management of cancerous as well as non-cancerous conditions of the breast with treatment based on current evidence, she manages breast cancer with oncoplastic approach maintaining safety.  She has many national level presentations to her credit and is a member of many national and international cancer societies. She also has keen interest in Breast cancer research and has been actively involved in many clinical trials for the same. Currently, Dr. Neha is associated with Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, as Consultant Breast Surgeon.

Dr. Sewanti is one of the most esteemed & crave Medical Oncologists in India with more than 17+ years of experience. Dr. Limaye has completed her MBBS from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College & Masters in Patient-Oriented Research at Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, New York. Dr. Sewanti Limaye did her residency in Internal Medicine from NY Downtown Hospital-NYU. Succeeding which she did an acquaintanceship in Hematology and Medical Oncology from North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Centre, New York. Dr. Swanti has served as a faculty at Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston and she has also practiced as an Attending Physician in the Head and Neck Medical Oncology Program and at Phase I – Early Drug Development Centre. She has also been involved in research work with leaders at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Suman Mallik joined NH Cancer Institute (formerly Westbank Cancer Centre) in 2011. Prior joining NH Cancer Institute, he was senior consultant radiation oncologist at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. He completed his 3 years of senior residency in radiation oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai from 2006 to 2009. He received special training on stereotactic radiotherapy at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto while doing fellowship at PMH in 2012. He has attended various international conferences and has presented many national and international oral papers. He has published 14 original papers in peer reviewed national and international journals till date (2013). Dr Suman Mallik is a member of the Association of Radiation Oncologist of India (AROI), European society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), Indian Brachytherapy Society (IBS).

Dr.Vivek Agarwala has umpteen years of specialized working experience in the field of Medical oncology & Haemato-Oncology. Dr Agarwala has worked as senior resident in the Department of Medical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai prior to joining Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah. After completing his graduation from Guwahati Medical College & MD in General medicine from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, Dr. Vivek went on to complete his Post-Doctoral specialization DM in Medical Oncology from Tata Memorial Centre, HBNI University, Mumbai. About Alphonse Taghian, MD, PhD

Dr Alphonse Taghian gained his MD from Alexandria University in Egypt. He did his residency in Radiation Oncology at Centre Alexis Vautrin in France. He then did a clinical and research fellowships at Gustave Roussy Institut (Paris). He obtained his PhD in Radiobiology from Paris XI University. He then spent 4 years of basic research at Dr. H. Suit lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is now the Director of Breast Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Taghian has published more than 140 peer reviewed articles, general reviews and chapters. He has edited a book on the multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of breast cancer. He has been awarded several NIH grants for research totaling around $2.7 Million for research in breast cancer and lymphedema. He is internationally recognized leader in breast radiation oncology in particular in the field of Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI). His main interest includes ways to avoid cardiac exposure to radiation, APBI, post-mastectomy radiation and screening & early intervention for lymphedema.

Dr. Don S. Dizon, MD, FACP, FASCO is the Head of Women’s Cancers at Lifespan Cancer Institute, Director of Medical Oncology at Rhode Island Hospital, and Associate Professor of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI (USA). He was trained in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) where he was also on the faculty in the Developmental Therapeutics section and Gynecologic Oncology Disease Management Team at MSKCC until 2003. Between 2003 and 2009 he was the director of medical oncology at the Program in Women’s Oncology at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island where he also founded the Center for Sexuality, Intimacy, and Fertility for women with cancer (CSIF)- the first program of its kind in Rhode Island. In July 2012, he transferred his clinical practice to MGH, where he founded and directed the Oncology Sexual Health Clinic at the MGH Cancer Center. Between 2014 and 2017 he was the Clinical Co-Director of Gynecologic Oncology at the MGH Cancer Center. In addition to his clinical duties, he is a co-chair of the Cervical Cancer Task Force for the NCI Gynecologic Cancer Steering Committee, section editor in Gynecologic Oncology at UpToDate, and serves on multiple editorial boards, including for The Oncologist, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and the American Journal of Clinical Oncology. He is also prolific on social media and maintains online columns at Connection and for the journal, The Oncologist.  He chairs the Digital Engagement Committee for SWOG, a member of the NCI National Clinical Trials Network. In 2018, he was named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. 

Hasan Murshed, M.D., M.S., earned his medical degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Master’s degree in Radiation Physics from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He completed his residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham, Alabama. Afterwards, he served as Fellow at the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Dr. Murshed is dual board certified by American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Radiation Oncology and in Medical Physics. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). Dr. Murshed has been in private practice for more than 15 years and is the Medical Director of Hope Regional Cancer Center, Panama City, FL. He enjoys both educational and practicing aspects of radiation oncology. He is a passionate advocate for cancer patients and is involved in community activities.

Paul worked as a medical oncologist for 25 years, with an emphasis on basic, clinical and translational research applying new technologies to deliver the best available personalised care to patients and their carers. He published extensively in the world’s leading cancer journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology amongst others.

After Paul’s initial Medical Oncology training in Sydney at Royal Prince Alfred and Royal North Shore hospitals he moved to the Royal Marsden in London – Europe’s largest cancer hospital. Paul completed his MD in cell death at the Institute of Cancer Research and was appointed as a consultant at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trusts in 1999.

In 2002, Paul returned to Australia as Director of Medical Oncology, Mater Adult Hospital and in 2008 Paul transferred across into private practice in Queensland continuing his translational & clinical research. As part of this work he came across the disruptive nanotechnologies being developed in Queensland that could transform patient care.

In 2019, Paul transitioned across from working as a medical oncologist to XING to assist the brilliant team of researchers in bringing the XING vision to patients.

Dr. Shalaka is a young and energetic breast cancer surgeon. After finishing MS in General Surgery from the prestigious Sir G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai; she joined the Tata Memorial Centre to pursue MCh is Surgical Oncology. She spent a year at the King’s College London at the Guy’s campus to learn the intricacies of translational cancer research and completed the MRes degree from University of London. Dr Shalaka is practicing as a breast surgical oncologist at Mumbai’s Tata Memorial Centre since 2013. The knowledge of intricacies of laboratory research helped her establish and be a part of the Clinician Scientist Laboratory in Advanced Centre for Treatment, Education and Research in Cancer (ACTREC). She is a principal investigator of several clinical and translational studies including a randomized controlled trial on neoadjuvant chemotherapy versus chemo-endocrine therapy in operable breast cancer patients. A recently completed randomized trial of “a decision aid (DA) (developed with the help of Harvard Inc and Navya Network) to help less empowered women from the developing countries like India choose between breast conservation surgery and mastectomy” was presented at the SABCS, 2019 and ASCO, 2020. A few studies are currently ongoing with respect to understanding novel therapeutic options for triple negative breast cancer and effort to establish gene signature for tumour dormancy to study mechanisms of late recurrences in hormone receptor positive breast cancer. Other than a keen aptitude for research, an astute eye for aesthetics of breast cancer surgery has made her learn and adapt various oncoplastic procedures in routine practice to improve the quality of life of Indian breast cancer patients.

Shaheenah Dawood is a consultant medical oncologist and associate professor in clinical oncology in the United Arab Emirates. She trained in medical oncology at McGill University Hospitals in Canada and subspecialized in breast cancer management at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During her training she was awarded multiple scholars in training awards and ASCO merit awards. She has served as an editorial fellow at the New England Journal of medicine and has an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has over 100 papers to her credit including 50 peer review original articles, 30 review articles and 12 book chapters. She serves as a reviewer for multiple journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology. She currently leads the oncology clinical trials program at Mediclinic City Hospital Dubai. She also serves as president of the UAE Cancer Congress that is held annually in Dubai and is co-president of the Asia pacific breast cancer summit (ABCS) and Asia pacific gastrointestinal cancer summit (APGCS). She has also recently launched the international BRCA forum and MENA immune-oncology summit.
